Carol is a program officer for the Special Projects team. Before joining the Walton Family Foundation, Carol was a program manager at the Walmart Foundation, where she was responsible for redesigning grant processes and managing grants to provide diversity and inclusion funding in support of the corporation’s relationships with seven diverse populations. In addition, Carol led grantmaking for the Healthy Eating Education portfolio, managed education funding awards to support middle school literacy and first-year minority college success and managed scholarships for Walmart associates and their dependents.

Carol received a master’s in radiation biology from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Mid-America Nazarene University.
