To support grantee's initiative to strengthen the sustainable management of fisheries in Peru by continuing to address the issues of informality and illegality in the fisheries sector; understand the value chain of mahi-mahi, jumbo squid and the artisanal sector for anchoveta; and provide a platform for a participatory and multi-sectorial dialogue to promote a sustainable fisheries agenda through the Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (SFAF).
To support grantee's implementation of the Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP) and to seek expansion to the SIMP to include all seafood products imported into the U.S.
Support for continued efforts to develop and promote recovery measures for the Chilean common hake fishery and improve the sustainability of the northern anchoveta fishery.
