What is the impact of design excellence? In partnership with the Walton Family Foundation, Gehl has explored this question through applying the Design Excellence framework to eight foundation-funded projects in Northwest Arkansas. Between July 2019 and July 2020, we tested the framework with grantees, designers and in the field. We used this experience to generate insights and create a set of tools to position the program —and the region — for a sustainable future of design excellence. This document outlines our findings from this process.
