The City of Bentonville has received funding through the Design Excellence Program for the master planning and design of a “Quilt of Parks” that will thread together multiple downtown open spaces into a cohesive experience.

Funding will also be used for a full redesign of Dave Peel Park and to complete the design for The Commons, a plaza area in the Quilt of Parks and an extension of Bentonville Square. The plaza will include passive recreation spaces and areas for public events, outdoor dining and community gathering. All projects align with the city’s Play Bentonville 2025 plan.
